About Us

Smiths Painting was established in 2002 by Robin Smith to bring specialist painting services to the Nelson and Tasman Bays region. 
Robin has now retired and the company is now owned by WPC and we are rebranding as WPC Tasman.
We provide the same quality service our existing clients expect and are excited to broaden our client base and welcome new clients.

Sam Stout is the Operations Manager and Robyn Leonard is the Estimator/Office Manager. Between them they have over 30 years' experience in the industry.

We have apprentices and trade certified staff who take pride in their appearance and their workmanship. 

We provide a wide range of painting and gib stopping services in both the residential and commercial sectors.

Our specialisations include fire retardant coatings, abrasive blasting, water blasting, spray painting and wallpapering. We are approved Zolotone applicators, as well as Nelson’s swimming pool specialists. We provide best practice solutions and provide forward costings.

WPC Tasman is backed by the best accreditation in the industry, including Site Safe, Dulux, Resene, Zone NZ, International, Polymer developments. Our relationship with top suppliers ensures we have access to and technical support from some of the world’s largest coatings manufactures.
